KCFR-FM is a radio station in Denver, Colorado, which is owned and operated by Colorado Public Radio and broadcast in simulations at various AM and FM stations throughout the state. Signals from some of these stations also extend to eastern Utah and southern Wyoming. Some of the KCFR-FM programming is heard on Vail's KPRE 89.9 FM, which also carries programs from the KVOD classical music station, also located in Denver. On 9 July 2008, the RCP moved the KCFR-FM news-talk schedule to Denver on 90.1 FM. The classical KVOD programming transmitted on that frequency moved to the newly acquired 88.1 FM signal. 1340 AM continued as a KCFR-FM simulcast until October 31, 2011, when it switched to a local AAA music outlet known as "OpenAir Radio" (CPR would sell the frequency to Victor Michael, Jr., and switched to sport, in July 2015).
